Prayer Request & Praise!

We have a special prayer request that we would love for everyone to pray about. Ever since Silas was born, he has had a clogged tear duct. (He wakes up each morning with his eye "matted" shut and his eye drips throughout the day. We are constantly cleaning his eye with warm wash clothes.) Normally the tear ducts open up by themselves and everything is fine. If they stay clogged, then around 1 years old, a surgery is needed to probe the tear duct and in severe cases, a tube is inserted.

Kami will be flying to Ft. Myers, FL with Silas and will stay with our families for a series of routine doctor's appointments and the surgery for Silas. They are leaving on January 29th and will be back February 9th. We are praying that Silas will be kept safe during the surgery and that he will not need a tube inserted in his tear duct. We are also praying that his eye will not get infected before the surgery and that there will be no "winter" storms or bad weather on the days they fly. One of the blessings that we have is that God has provided some of the money for his surgery and we praise the Lord.

I have a special praise as well. I will be teaching my first Sunday school class to the entire church this coming Sunday morning. This will be my first attempt in giving a lesson completely in French! I have picked a very easy subject, "Comment identifier un culte" ....How to identify a cult! Ok, maybe it doesn't seem like an easy subject but it really isn't hard to identify a cult or false religion. Kami and the kids will be singing in French and Kami will also be giving a small testimony in French. For us, this is one step closer to getting done with language school and getting to the field where the "harvest is plentious, but the labourers are few." Thank you all for your prayers and friendships!
