Micah is still running a fever since his Doctor's visit last week. Silas started getting sick with a fever and runny nose but is better now. However, Brenna is sick today and Callie is starting to run a fever this evening. Not to mention that Kami is secretly hiding the fact that she is starting to get sick as well. We all know that if momma goes down...the whole household gets turned upside down!
(Yesterday was my birthday, 38! Even though Joshua and Elisabeth are in Florida, we were able to Skype with them first thing in the morning on my birthday.)
(Yes, Joshua & Elisabeth arrived safely in Florida. Their first stop was Burger King! They have missed Fast Food! Elisabeth has had the first of three orthodontist appointments. Her next visit will be to remove her braces and then to fit and receive her retainer. Joshua has had the chance to teach Sunday School this past Sunday at our home church and they both sang in the morning service.)
(We are now averaging 1 egg per day from our chickens. In all, we have 6 chickens in our coup and as of right now, 2 are laying eggs. We are hoping that in the next week, the others will begin laying as they are still young and haven't started laying yet.)
I went out today and passed out 55 of our door-hanging bags with the Gospel. Please be in prayer that God will send us a family to our services and also for a young man who will get saved and surrender his life to preach the Gospel. The spiritual results here are very slow in coming and it seems as if our efforts are falling upon "deaf ears". We know that God is working to soften the hearts of the people here so that they will receive the Word of God; we are just longing to see results and to have a thriving church here in the near future.
We do have a big praise! Josh probably wouldn't want me to mention this but I am going to anyway! Back in November, I asked him to add some water to our cistern because it was empty. He was supposed to let the city water run into our cistern for about 45 minutes. (Water here is very expensive, our last bill was over $480) We just haven't had the rain. Well, he forgot it running for 9 hours. He was devastated and we thought the bill would be well over $1,000. We prayed and prayed and Josh was the first to receive the water bill from our landlord...only $175 Euros ($232)! We were ecstatic, needless to say, and we were able to get it paid off today! Praise the Lord! One of our ladies at our Bible study said that God must have broken our water meter because our bill shouldn't have been that low for the months from July to December!. God is so good!
