This past Sunday, we were invited to Eglise Baptiste de Thetford Mines which is about 1 1/2 hours from our home here in Quebec City. The drive down was beautiful and we have fallen in love with the Canadian landscape! When you drive in the U.S. you see many church buildings along your drive, you may pass Baptist church after Baptist church. Here, you can drive for 1 1/2 hours and not see any! It is very sad and the need for the Gospel is great!
However, in Thetford Mines, there is an old-fashioned soul-winning Baptist church! The spirit there is friendly and everyone loves the old-fashioned hymns and old-fashioned preaching! Pastor Begin (there is supposed to be an accent mark over the "e" in his name but I don't know how to use French accent marks on this computer!) asked us to come and present our ministry and asked me to preach. This was the first time we have shown our video in over a year. I muted the sound and verbally presented the video. The translator, Bro. Mike, did a great job of translating the video and my preaching!....Thanks Bro. Mike!!!
Afterwards, as all true Baptist churches, we met in their fellowship hall and ate! Great food and wonderful fellowship with fellow Christians is always a blessing no matter what country you are in. Thank you Pastor Begin and Eglise Baptiste de Thetford Mines for the great hospitality!
