Many of you have asked how Joshua is doing at college, so I thought I would give an update...
He is loving Golden State Baptist College in California, the weather and the "blue bird skies" as he calls it!
The preaching and teaching have just thrilled his soul. He said, "Dad, the preaching and teaching steps all over your toes...and I love it!"
He has been sick twice and missed a day's worth of classes and is still trying to get better from his last bout with whatever was ailing him. Even while battling the cold/flu, he has gotten all A's in his class assignments and the work comes easy for him because he absolutely loves and devours what he is being taught.
As a Daddy and Momma, we could not be more proud and excited for him. He calls us 3-4 times per day just to check-in with us and to ask how his Momma is doing. In the late evening time, he calls us before he knows we are going to bed and we talk for 30-40 minutes as he tells us about his classes, class/room-mates, and his job searching events.
The only negative thing to announce is that he still doesn't have a job. He has filled out over 40 applications and personally went in person to stores and hotels that he could walk to. He has had several interviews and has had positive reactions from managers who said they would love to hire him, but he would have to wait until a position opens up. He has an appointment tomorrow for an interview at Sports Authority, so we will see what becomes of this.
Please continue to pray for Joshua and for the finances to pay his upcoming bills on October 24th and November 4th! He needs $1534 for these two bills and he is learning to rely on faith on God to meet his every need!
