Thank you Rafael...

You might be wondering why I would thank Rafael... well, Rafael was the Tropical storm that just passed almost directly over us!  And for the first time since May, we have had some substantial rain!  Our cistern is 3/4 full and for that we Praise the Lord because we do not have to pay the very expensive water bill to add water to our cistern (which we have done since April).

The only hinderance was that we had to make a decision about our Sunday morning Bible study.  The storm was to arrive in the early Sunday morning hours with 58 MPH winds and lots of rain.  So we made the decision to cancel our Bible study for Sunday morning as a safety precaution, and we are glad we did.

All Saturday night we were pounded with strong winds and heavy rains.  Amazingly, we only lost electricity for about 1 & 1/2 hours.  When we woke up, things had settled down but by 10:30 the winds picked back up and the heavy rains poured down again.  What amazes me is how strong the winds have been all throughout the day...there were times that I thought the storm had turned around and came back!

We are all safe and dry and hoping that our water in our cistern will last a long time!
