After Joshua's presentation of Ukraine, we had a great treat watching a video sent to us by the Sloan Family (this is me translating into French)

We also had a special time of prayer for the Sloan family, especially for their need of their long-term VISA to be re-approved.
Joshua made special placemats and we feasted on traditional Ukraine dishes such as this Russian salad called Olivier.
We also ate Borsch which is a soup made with beets, potatoes, carrots and cabbage. One of the things that we learned is that Ukrainians eat lots of sour cream and dill seasoning. Our instructions were to add sour cream to the Borsch soup and both the soup and salad both contained Dill seasoning.
This is Éliane, one of the ladies who comes faithfully to our Sunday Bible study and Wednesday lunch fellowship. She loves trying "new" foods!
This last item is called Napoleon Torte. It is also made with sour cream as well. It was a fun trip to Ukraine and the only thing that would have made it better would to have been to have the Sloan family here in person!
Our Picnic
This past Friday, Joshua planned our family Fun Night and he chose to have a picnic at the beach! So we loaded up our chicken salad sandwiches, chips, and Pepsi's and headed to Grand Fond.
It was perfect because the skies were overcast and there was a terrific breeze.
We were even treated to a surfing exhibition! The wind was coming from the Atlantic side and made for some nice waves. There were a dozen or more surfers taking advantage of the waves and we had a first row seat! It was fun to watch but Silas and Callie spent most of their time doing what they love to do, throwing rocks into the water!
It was a great time together and even little Micah got to play in the sand!
