We have left Ft. Myers, FL and said "goodbye" to our families. Attached to the back of our van is a 6x12 U-Haul trailer filled with our belongings and we are on our way to Quebec to start language school. We are currently in Frederick, MD for the evening. It has been a tiring week thus far. We began with selling our motor home on Monday!!....Praise the Lord!!! Then we packed and cleaned all afternoon on Monday to finish the day very exhausted. We have had the girls getting sick with fevers and coughs (no not the swine flu) and it has spread through the family. On Tuesday we loaded up the trailer and got done about 11 AM but Josh and I had to go to bed for a couple of hours as we began to get chills and ached with fevers... After a couple hours of rest we hit the road to at least get a couple hours down the road. On Wednesday, Kami started with a fever and aches as we traveled to South Carolina. Today, Thursday, we traveled here to Maryland. I drove for 12 hours today but 3 of those were in bumper to bumper traffic! I don't like driving through Washington, D.C. Tomorrow we will take a detour to Hershey, PA to see the chocolate factory and just have some fun with the kids. It has been a long trip for them. We are going to make visiting Hershey a quick stop however, as we are trying to make good time to Quebec because I may have to fly back to Florida after we get there. My mom called and the doctors have placed my dad in Hospice and don't expect him to live past this weekend. He has been in bad shape for some weeks now and my mom has been taking care of him 24 hours a day at home. However, because his organs are shutting down and his passing is just a matter of time, Hospice was recommended so that my mom could just be with him instead of having to take care of him at this point. She was getting exhausted. Please pray for us and especially my mom. We praise the Lord that I was the first to get saved out of our family and I was able to lead both my mom and dad to the Lord!
